Christy is the perfect example of what happens when you put your mind to something & work hard to see it through.  She is a busy wife and mom of two boys always driving them to and from practices, games, etc.  She made no excuses & stuck to the program that I outlined for her.  What did her hard work get her?  35 pounds of weight loss, 27 inches off of her frame and an 11% drop in bodyfat.  She also is now able to wear her wedding ring for the first time in 2 yrs, run & finish an entire 5k & fit into her favorite red dress from high school.  On top of all this, she is pretty much one of the nicest people I have ever met & became a cheerleader for other clients working through their transformations.  What do we call this at HitchFit?  A ROCK STAR transformation!!  Way to go Christy!!  Super PROUD!!!

Here is Christy's story:

My journey began back in August at time when I was very unhappy about my appearance.  Being a mother of 2 very active boys and a scrapbooker at heart, I had been thinking a lot about if anything should ever happen to me what my children would remember about their mother. As I looked back through the many photos of our lives, the one common factor was that mom was always the one taking the photos but never in very many.  Part of this was the fact that I was so out of shape I couldn’t  do many things without getting winded quickly,  however in recent years this was mostly because of how I had let myself go and I did not want to be reminded of how I looked.

My friend Brandi had just completed her transformation with Hitch Fit and her results were AMAZING!   I never thought she needed to lose weight, but after seeing and hearing about her process I was intrigued. I quickly found myself checking the Hitch Fit website daily and being inspired by all the amazing people that had changed their lives.  Soon my friend Andrea had started the process and was a few weeks in when I saw her at a baseball party and I could see in just a short period of time how she was changing- she looked FANTASTIC!  Little did they both know that just an hour prior to that party I had sent an email to start the process to a healthier, happier me. I told Brandi and she said my life would be changed forever and was she right!

Oh the first day, I remember it like it was yesterday!  We took the ugly before photos, horrible measurement s, and then started a mini workout to see where I was. WOW what an eye opener that was, I fell twice and I struggled to do one push-up.  Then Steph says”Let’s do 1 minute of jumping jacks” and I thought no problem that’s easy-not I literally did 5 in a minute!  I have never felt as DEFEATED as I did that night, yet I also left with a feeling of relieve like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders because I had started.   One of the many things that sticks out about that night for me is no matter how badly I failed or silly I felt, Steph was there encouraging me and telling me this was the worst it was ever going to be-she was so right!
The diet for me wasn’t the hard part it was easy and I stuck to the plan Steph provided perfectly and did not stray.  It was actually harder on my family because we ate out every day due to all the activities our boys were involved in and that quickly changed.  What was the hardest for me was the lifting weights, as it was something I had never done before. I joined a gym and my son would go with me and push me just like Steph did.  Initially I was shy about being back with all the men lifting, but quickly I became more confident as I started seeing my body change and little muscles start peeking out.  I found myself really enjoying and looking forward to going to gym as that became time for this mom to put herself FIRST for a change.  Every workout with Steph was different, she pushed me and constantly reminded me of how STRONG I was and soon I began to believe it too!

For those that say it‘s too hard and can’t be done, trust me when I say those people don’t know what they are talking about.  My life did not slow down one bit for me to complete this process, I made the time!  I would go to track while my son was at practice, first only walking but soon running. I took a cooler with me everywhere with enough food for the day; you would find me at the baseball or football fields eating my tuna and tortilla.  Soon this became the new normal for everyone around me and people I knew started making some simple changes in their lives too.  This was so rewarding for me and kept me motivated and inspired!

Here I sit 16 weeks later a completely different person and so proud of how far I have come! I am able to wear my wedding ring, which I have not worn in over 2 years.  I am able to wear this beautiful red dress that I have not worn since I was a senior in High School 16 years ago.  I am running 5K’s now with my son and was able to shave 4:32 off my first time. I have made some wonderful friends through this process and know we will be able to support each other as we continue our journey.

I believe people come into our lives for a reason and I am so thankful for my girls Brandi and Andrea for showing me that this was possible. To my scrappin’ ladies for always being so supportive and listening to me constantly talk about the “booty” I was going to have when I finished the process-LOL! To my hubby Pat, who from day 1 supported me and told me my goals were possible- you were right! To my boys Micah and Lucas, thank you for working out with mom and always pushing me to do my best!   To Hitch Fit for having such a positive and supportive atmosphere and a FANTASTIC group of trainers that help you BELIEVE that changing our lives is possible. Words cannot express how I feel about this wonderful woman and my friend Steph, you were my ROCK lady!  You have helped change me into the woman I am today and without you this would not have been possible.  Thank you for pushing me to my breaking point and beyond!  You have provided me with the tools to continue to succeed and helped me realize I am a strong woman!  Now I don’t worry about what my boys will remember about me, because I know now we will be able to create wonderful memories together because mom is healthy and can run, jump, and play! No more hiding behind that camera!
